genetics and evolution actually. there is a scientific answer and also a pshycological. the scientific answer is that as humans we are programed to procreate and further are species , the best way is to give reproduce with as many others as possible. also the ages of 17-24 are the prime years for breeding.subconcioulsy there is some thing that pushes us to do that, however over time emotion has begun to over come it. also some time it is a power issue or an insecurity . society has also put out this idea that guys are supposed to get out there and do it with every girl we can. then again there is always the classic answer and that is that most men are pigs how can not tolerate a steady relationship

If you put a man on a diet that was lacking in one essential amino acid and came back a week or 2 later, he would probably rip off your arm and start chewing. It is a biological imperative. A mans drive to spread his seed around as much as possible is the same biological imperative. It goes back to where the first microbes differentiated and they became 2 different microbes. And women wonder why men run around. An upstart religion about 1000 years ago decided they could change the ways of humanity - guess what - it didn't work.
