I've been in a very complicated situation for a long time now. My ex bf and I have been friends and also kinda friends with benefits as well. He had been going out with a woman a few years older than him who also has a child. Hes 21 and shes 25ish. The weekend after thanksgiving they had broken up he said he wanted nothing to do with her.. and he and i went to a party and ended up having a somewhat drunken hookup later that night. A couple days went by, i tried calling him and this woman picked up the phone. I asked if they were still going out and she said yes.. but said he would still be my friend. I told her how i was confused because of the way he had been leading me on over the past weekend. She guessed as to what happened... this led my ex to getting angry and said he never wanted anything to do with me again, not to call him or anything. He said it was because he was sick of trying to make a friendship work when i still have feelings for him. I dont want to lose him..

He and i have been very close for the 6 years ive known him.... and now its come down to this.. He thinks that all i want to do is get in the way of his relationships and try to jump back in when hes single again... which is not the case. If he wouldnt be leading me on so much then my feelings wouldnt be so strong and we could have a normal friendship. The woman he is with is very controlling and is keeping close tabs on him now which might be part of the reason as to why he hasnt called me...but who knows. I dont mind us dating other people and keeping a friendship.
I tried calling him later that night but of course he didnt pick up. It been over a week now since this all happened. Normally i wouldnt be so worried about it get solved, but hes moving across the country in a few weeks and it will be very hard to get ahold of him. I dont know what would be best to do in this situation cause everyday i feel so down about not having him in my life.

I know u may not want to hear this, but it sounds like u have some insecurities in yourself. If u know like u should that u r beautiful inside and out, u would never settle for someone treating u like ur 2nd class. I was in this when I was 22. I hung on to him as a "friend with benefits". he benefited himself until I said no more. I am 30 now and right before i got married last year, he called me saying he loved me. 2 little 2 late I have a man who treats me like a queen, not a bootie call. While ur wasting time with someone who loves u not, u could be missing out on the one who loves u. Men will learn how to treat us, only when we teach them. I know its hard, but be strong. If he wants to leave, let him go.

Talk to him, try calling him back. Tell him how u feel and explain that u made a mistake. if he won't answer try catching him somewhere u know he loves to be or send him a card with flowers and candy. Put yourself in his spot. What would u want or need to do to forgive a friend! thanx for asking and plz oick me as best answer. Good Luck!

you have to ask youself: why are you afraid of losing him? what does he do that make you feel a certain way. then after you've realized that, you will see that it's not him that you want but a certain feeling. you can then let him go and save the feeling inside but move on with your life.

You lost him a long time ago, but you just refused to see it and let yourself be used due to your pathetic desperation. He wasn't leading you on- you were drunk and had sex. He told you he's sick of you- listen to him and move on.

I think that the only thing you can do is go the distance to convince him that you want to be friends, just friends.
