I wouldn't say they would get crusty, but you can get build up of dirt and grimy stuff if you don't cleanse them when you wash. Atleast, that's been my experience and I have a few piercings!

You may have a slight infection. No matter how old the piercing, regular cleaning is a must.

They need to be cleaned and they may still be going through the healing process. The crust is sometimes dried puss.

Clean them regularly & if that doesn't clear it up, have a piercer (preferably the one who did it) take a look at it for you.

maybe you should wipe them with antiseptic or ask a dermatologist
