Is drunkenness a sin? If so then point to where in the *old testament* it says so as all new testament comments-on-laws/sins come from the old testament.

The use and abuse of alcohol was a serious matter in Old Testament and early New Testament times, just as it is today. The Old Testament provide examples like Noah. Soon after the flood Noah planted a niveyard, made wine, and became drunk (Genesis 9:20-23). Many kings and armies in the Old Testament times were defeated while under the influence of too much wine ( 1 Kings 16:9, 20:16). In the New Testament, Jesus told the parable of the unfaithful servant who drank too much and beat the other servants because he thought the master was not soon coming (Matthew 24:48-49). Jesus also said in plain words that people will be drinking too much wine and becoming drunk instead of being prepared fo His retun on judgment day (Luke 21:34). the book of Revelation uses the image of drunkeness with wine often to describe those who will be condemned (Revelation 17:2). Do all these examples mean that alcohol is bad and drinking is wrong?

The bible does not forbid drinking alcohol. Whil Noah did not set a good example, the bible does not comment on his overindulgence. It was his son Ham who was cursed for tricking his father who had fallen asleep uncovered in his tent. Psalm 104:15 tells us that God has given us bread and wine which "makes happy hearts." Isaiah described the time when Christ would come as a feast of best wines, prepared by God. Wine seems to be connected with the idea of feasting and celebration. A clear example of this is found on the occasion when Jesus changed many gallons of water into wine at the wedding in Cana (John 2:1-12) and the finest of wine at that.

All people are warned not to misuse alcool. That is, they are not to drink so much that they become drunk. Proverbs 23:29 describes teh woe, sorrow, contentions and other problems of a person who spends too much time drinking. Christians in general are warned that no drunkard has any part in the kingdom of heaven (Romans 14:21, 1 Corinthians 6:10, Galatians 5:21, Ephesians 5:18).

In many scriptures it shows that gluttony and getting drunk is considered being in the same boat which is sin. (ref. De 21:20; Pr 23:21; 1 Cor 6:9-11; Pr 20:1) If you want to get drunk, get drunk off the Holy Ghost. You don't have to worry about getting a hang over, and it's free and you can get as much as you want.

convinced they do, yet they have self belief in dispensationalism the position previous testomony salvation for Israel change into on a nationwide element as against being on a own element with the help of Jesus Christ contained in the recent testomony. because the NT became the OT on its head, the OT is dealt with as rewarding for examining and coaching as scripture, yet serves extra as a starting place for the NT quite than the NT being a continuation of the faster covenant.

Prov 23: 29-33
[29] Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
[30] They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.
[31] Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.

Deuteronomy 21:19-21
19 his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. 20 They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a profligate and a drunkard." 21 Then all the men of his town shall stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid.
