Here is my problem-
All of my exams in my science class were worth 100 points except one, I got a 52.5 out of 60 points. What is this in a letter grade, and how do I average it along with my other 100 point grades?

To average a grade, add up all of the total grades on each assignment and than divide it by the number of assignments there are and you will get the average. Example:

Test 100
Test 57
Speech 80
Total average (100+57+80)divided by 3

Add all your earned points. Add all possible points. Then, take earned points divided by possible points. Based on your percentage, you can determine your grade.

For example, if you earned 900 points and there were 1000 possible points. 900/1000 is 0.90 or 90%. This would be an A -.

Since one of your test is a B+ or 87.5% and the rest are 100% grades, you would be getting an A in any case whether you had two total tests or 10 total tests.

52.5 points out of a 60 point test sounds like a B+, but I would check with the teacher. It sounds like you are going to get an A- in the class.
Good luck!

52.5 divided by 60 = 0.875 which is 87% or 88% which is a B.
To average it with your other grades: Add up all the points you earned and add up all the points possible and divide the points earned by the points possible and you'll get your average for that class.

52.5 out of 60 is 87.5%, so that's an 'A' or 'A-'.
So count it as 87.5 out of 100 to get your average with all your other 100 point grades.

if all factors are equivalent, i.e tests are no longer weighted heavier than homework assignments, then purely compute your share Sum of scores ---------------------- Sum of Max score and you have gotten your share score
