When I come in from the cold, the inside of my ears are really painful, it feels like they are thawing out, that's the only way I can describe it! It's really sore!

You might want to go see an ear doctor, they might be clogged up. Or you might have sensitive ears, and just need to wear something to keep them warm. But you really need to see the ear doctor.....
