After Hiroshima, Japan became very passionately against nuclear weapons. For that reason, they don't and never will have nuclear weapons.

This question is quite paranoid, but not stupid. In fact, asking questions is the intelligent thing to do if you know not the answer.

Well ..I dont think they have any atomic bombs, but I believe they have access to them, and could make them in a few months anyways. There will never be an "evil emperor" who'll get crazy and do another Pearl attack on the U.S., another exsample of how WW2 changed the world into what it is today...Japan doesnt have to be scared into making them, they will eventually have something as the course of todays world continues on par.
I dont feel they should sit back and take crap from anybody, if they didnt ask for it...they should fight back.
Japan has been really helpful to the U.S., even if doing so goes against their usual stance...and the people are cool. I would assume any attack upon Japan would automatically put the U.S. in another state of war. A war I would FULLY support. As a taxpayer, I have no problem if some of my tax dollars go to the defence of Japan.
But just the same as my position/opinion about the British beefing up their nukes...I think soon Japan should acknowledge the world threats today and act accordingly.

Beef it up.

Currently Japan has NO NUKES!!!! It is forbidden for japan to have nuclear weapons in their constitution. However some have suggested ways around that interpretation of the Japanese constitution by labeling such weapons as defensive. It should also be noted the emperor is a figure head with little to no political power. It wouldn't be in Japans best interest to bomb the USA as who would then buy all those Toyota's,Nissan's,Subaru's,Lexus,Mitsubishi's,Sony's etc, etc,

No but they have nuclear technology. It's what they get most power from. And at this stage the emperor is a figure head Japan is a democracy. I think as long as nuclear weapons exist we should be concerned about that they may be used. That includes the USA using them. The suffering these devises cause is so extreme we can't, as humans, accept them.

1. No, but they are considered a 'Potential Nuclear Power' due to their high tecnology base, advanced space boosters (borrowed from Russian designs, no less) and extensive civillian nuclear power program. (Same thing applies to Canada, Germany and Italy)

2. Again, No. The Emperor of Japan is a figurehead, and has no real Political power, just like the House of Winsor.

3. YES!! North Korea is the one to watch

I suspect they may have a few that they are telling no one about, and you are being paranoid if you think Japan is about to attack the USA

no Japan don't have any nuclear bombs or military yet but the U,S, is considering giving them back some of their military capabilities as they have been prohibited from having a military for the last 50or so years, but to limit their military for defense only because of north Korea's action
