First of all, Stay OUT of the sun and wear a sunscreen every day, rain or shine. A fabulous brand to try is Epicuren because it won't clog pores and is made with far better ingredients thatn you could find at a drugstore.

While you probably won't be able to "get rid" of freckles, consult a dermatologist for professional skin lightening. If you don't want to be too drastic, Dermalogica's Day Bright and Night Bright system is good, as is DHC's White Line, containing ample amounts of Alpha-Arbutin and Glycerrhizic and Kojic acids, which are not drastic, but have good results over time.

Be very careful in trying to lighten your skin.

You can cause hyper-pigmentation that will make having freckles seem like a picnic.
