You know how hearing people "hear" their thoughts? Well what do deaf people "hear" or how do they think? Do they think in pictures or written words? Or what? I hope no one takes this the wrong way, I am not making fun of anyone by any means, just curious. I doubt anyone would have the answer to this unless there was someone who was deaf and then gained their hearing somehow later in life.

i see and feel myself signing inside my head so i guess it's like "hearing" voice in my head. i know it might sound strange to you but it is normal to me because it has been like that all my life.

Hmm, good question. Kinda like what language does a baby think in? I think deaf people think in images and with the other senses. Like taste touch smell. They may associate an image with a smell or touch instead of words. Or maybe they make up their own voice in there head.

If a deaf person has never heard sound then they can not think in words. They think in visuals only.
