It's a myth, there never was one. The Grail is supposedly the chalice that Jesus used to make the first Communion at the Last Supper. But traditionally it is a jewelled goblet, made of silver or gold. When really they probably drank the Passover wine out of clay cups of some kind. Jesus and the disciples were not rich, they wouldn't have jewels and gold. And the "chalice" came later, after Christianity became a formal institution. The early Christians just used the utensils they had to hand.

The Grail is a metaphor used in Perzivald, a 13th century legend. It never existed as is, but came from reading Perzivald and stories like it as fact, rather then allegories and metaphors.

they haven't even decided what the holy grail IS yet. It may well have been found centuries ago, and tossed aside as worthless.

When you think about the odds of one cup in all of history surviving, it's just sooooo unlikely it's unbelievable.
You may think that since it would have been deemed important, it would have been saved, but given the fact that there have been so many wars, occupying armies (like the Romans at that time) anything of value would have either been melted down for the gold, or destroyed to try to keep people from worshiping Jesus.
Think about it; anything at all having anything to do with him would be important or valuable, like furniture he had made as a carpenter, etc., yet none of that stuff survives.
Also, it's likely that nobody even cared about it at the time, only that later legends made a big deal out of it.
There's certainly no big deal made out of it in the Bible, right?
Later people are the ones who started assigning magical qualities to "relics", but at the time, it didn't matter to christians.

The chalice? Buried on an island off the coast of Nova Scotia.
The bloodline? Debatable... some say most/all Euro royalty is the bloodline. if so, than most of us are, too.

Worshipping a cup just because Jesus drank from it or a piece of wood just because Jesus was nailed to it is the very idolatry Jesus was opposed to. The cup, the cross, and all other physical artifacts are just meaningless fripperies that Satan uses to distract you from the REAL message. Things of the world belong to Satan - things of the spirit belong to God.

The cup was meaningless. What was IN the cup is what counts. And that abides safely in my heart.
