Hate? I don't really agree.
Greed? It has always been present in the human make up.
Jealousy? Perhaps because of over-population: the competition is intense and networking is often responsible for many successful careers.
Why is it all highlighted in today's world?
I think through advertising and the consumer society, people want it all....as soon as possible....as we divide so quickly into the Haves and the Have-Nots, the have-nots become jealous of the Haves.
It is difficult indeed to find the right equilibrium in today's world.
But keep a sense of values and you will be okay.

Strangely coz fashion is evil....didn't you get the pamphlet instructing you on how to let other people give you your opinion.
I don't follow fashion, I go my own way , it may not be particularly fashionable but at least it is all mine..... then when I reach the pearly gates (or whatever) i don't have to say...."Well they told me to do it."
Sucker! :-o

What world have you been living in that it hasn't been? It always has been. We're human. It's the natural state of our existance.

Read some history, these are not new.
We have always been human, humans always sin.
That is why we all need the Redemption of Jesus.
