i ended my 6 year relationship with my fiance.we had our own place,and a mortgage.ive been single now for 8 months.
my ex was very controlling and violent towards me.it took alot for me to leave him.
he has now moved away and ive had our place transferred into my sole name.
how long should i leave it before dating again?
i do like this guy,he knows about my past cause he knew my ex,they were not friends though.he seems to like me but he hasnt asked me out.would my past relationship have something to do with it?he doesnt know why we split.he knows i ended it though.

Hey girl way to go for getting out of your violent relationship, I know only to well how hard this was for you. I ended my 15 year relationship only 3 weeks ago. Wasn't easy.
All i would say to you is 8 months now you have been on your own, and if you feel you like this guy go for it. What ever makes you happy,if nothing comes of it dont worry Mr right will find you maybe not today maybe not tomorrow but he will .. So ive been told. lol. Happy Christmas to ya. x

The hardest thing to do when coming out of a abusive relationship is to learn to love again. You'll need time but there is not prescription for an exact amount. You'll know when you are ready, you may be ready now. Don't push this guy away esp. if he knows the situation and isn't scared off. Let him know you intend to take things very slowly and that you may still be hurting, if he's a decent guy. He'll be good to you.

just go through life the best you can and enjoy it.
Cupid is looking after you and when the opportunity comes along then Cupid will give you a nudge and sometimes the heart starts to beat faster which could be a tell tale sign.

well i think you should leave it a while. get bak on your feet. you need tym to spend with ur family and be around with ur freinds. be around ppl hu luv u and hu u luv. i think if u start dating too soon then all could fail and u will feel worse than eva. i think u shud relli becomegood friends with this bloke b4 anything at all happens. i think u need to get to know him, almost as though u wer dating, but i think because of ur past u need 2 be 110% sure about this guy. make sure hes a true gentlemen and that he will treat u ryt. listen to your friends aswell. if they have any doubts about him then listen to them and try and see what they see. make sure your parents have met this guy too an that they know what you are getting into.
apart from all the down sides i think ur a reli strong person and could have a gr8 life ahed of u.

if you like him then DO IT! you gotta have a 1-on-1 chat with this guy you like and tell him why you and your "last" broke it off. explain that HE was the jerk-o!!this guy should understand. ..dont wait tho. cuz the longer you wait hun, the harder you fall. ...dont fall. :)
