O.k.. so has anyone here read the Bible in Herbrew? If so what do you think of salvation in the spirit world? As we must take into accont that there are three diffreent words which are translanted in our English Bibles as either hell or the grave. The Hebrew word "Gehenna" is usually translated "Hell", meaning a fiery Hell, & the other word usually translated in the English as "grave" comes from two different words: The one in Hebrew "Sheol", & the other in Greek, "Hades". But neither one of the original words have the meaning of what we think of as a grave today--a hole in the ground! What both of them mean is: "Sheol"--the unseen state! "Hades"--the unseen state!--The Spirit World! = D ..I could tell you more but I don't want to "rant" if you want you can get my Q&A emil & I can tell you more..! So what do you think..??!!!!
Do you think it's possible? I mean IF the "spirit world" really does exist..= Z

In anything Science has taught us that spirits exist or at least a form of it does. Hence I have to believe in a spirit world. As far as salvation is concerned I would say yes. If one did not have the option in life to say one way or the other can they be condemned for it? Would you condemn a child who in my opinion is pure and untainted for not being saved in life when they had no option.
Not bad chapelite_av However your own words that you have written say otherwise.
'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded, even if someone rises from the dead.'"
Says to me that moses is telling him that his family won't listen regardless of who is sent, not that there is no salvation in spirit. Also in this pretext the man is already in hell not the spirit world. Though I am going by what you have written and I am assuming that hell and spirit world are two different places/existences.

The spirit world exists. I believe this is the form we are in when we die. I think the story of the rich man and Lazarus tells this. The rich man and Lazarus was in Sheol, but in different parts... separated by a gulf. Bur the Bible says ..."it is appointed for man once to die, and then Judgment...". This is proved in that the rich man and Lazarus weren't in the same exact place. Otherwise, wouldn't everyone be saved?
I have an Interlinear Bible Hebrew and Greek. This is the closest that I have been to reading Hebrew.

It is not possible. As the writer to the Hebrews says, "Indeed, just as people are appointed to die once and after that to be judged..." (Hebrews 9:27)
Even Jesus gave no hope of salvation after death. "One day the beggar died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was in constant torture, he looked up and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus by his side. So he shouted, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me! Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and to cool off my tongue, because I am suffering in this fire.' But Abraham said, 'My child, remember that during your lifetime you received blessings, while Lazarus received hardships. But now he is being comforted here, while you suffer. Besides all this, a wide chasm has been fixed between us, so that those who want to cross from this side to you can't do so, nor can they cross from your side to us.' "The rich man said, 'Then I beg you, father, send him to my father's house-for I have five brothers-to warn them, so that they won't end up in this place of torture, too.' Abraham said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets. They should listen to them!' But the rich man replied, 'No, father Abraham! Yet if someone from the dead went to them, they would repent.' Then Abraham said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded, even if someone rises from the dead.'" (Luke 16:22-31)
The man in Hades (the abode of the dead) was being tormented. As the story indicates, there was no way for the man to cross over the chasm that was fixed. He only had an expectation of judgment.
Another Scripture that indicates this is "...then the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials and to hold unrighteous people for punishment on the day of judgment..." (II Peter 2:9)
So no, there is no opportunity for the unsaved to be pardoned of their sins after death.

No.
Some churches believe a person can be baptized by proxy post-mortum. Some believe a person can be prayed into heaven post-mortum.
But these are unbiblical beliefs. The Scriptures not only offer no support for these teachings, but clearly tell us that the opposite is true.

some of the books that were taken out of the bible in the middle ages also speak of salvation after death. i think the christian church relys too much on peoples fear of the afterlife for them to come out and say that everyone meets the same fate.

The Mormons believe that there can be salvation after death, which is why they do baptisms for the dead.
