I have been talking to this guy online for almost a year now. He is in NY I am in Los Angeles. He will be coming to see me in February, and I will be going there in March for his bday. We talk everyday, several times a day...we cant get enough of eachother. Our connection is so strong its really amazing. I feel like I have already fallen for him, even though we havent even touched yet. Has anyone else ever been through this, and did it work out? I know anything is possible...he has managed to take over my thoughts, and I honestly feel so blessed just having him to talk to and look forward to. If you have been in a LDR before, is there any advice you can give to make it last? Maybe things you didnt do or wish you had tomake it work?

I was in a long distance relationship for 18 mos. My situation was different b/c we were together prior to the 18 mos. for about 3 yrs. so we had enough history to hold things together until he decided to move where I was. It was hard. We saw each othere maybe every 2 mos. Trust will always be an issue.

This is so amazing! I am from Georgia and met a woman from Illinois on here. After several emails, she called me and we have fallen in love with each other so completely. I am meeting her in 9 days in Nashville and we are both so excited. She plans to move to Georgia by the Summer and we will always be together happy and in love. I have no doubts about her and she has none about me because we know that our love is real and meant to be. All the best to you and your long distance romance too dear! Thank you for this truly amazing question.

Yeah, my lasted 5 months. seeing each other every 3 weeks, and then the ex boyfirend just happened to need a place to stay. And since he was an ex and they were just friends they could share a bed and i shouldn't worry because nothing would happen. So yeah, she has been having sex with him for a few months now, and i still love her becuase i am an idiot.

I've been in one before and it didn't work out. There is always something missing when you are that far apart. Its good in a way that you don't have someone breathing down your neck all the time, but its bad in the way that you aren't there to breath down their neck and keep an eye on them. Then even if you trust them with all your heart, they may not. and who says that they are really who they say they are. There is something about having a phisical relationship that is so much better than one with your telephone, or your computer.

Prior to being married with my wife, she took a job which was 6 hours away.... It was really tough but if you put an effort into it, a long distance relationship can work.... But there will need to be a high level of trust....
