Well , yes and no. some are just full of sugar and you are only supposed to drink it if you are working out ,a hard ,long work out, because if someone drinks a High surgery energy drink and are not working out it will do more harm than good .Most energy drinks have more sugar than pop do's.
Other energy drinks like RedBull have (Lots of Sugar and TUNS Of Caffeine) and my be some other stuff . It is addictive to some people. If your not carefull you could get a sugar overload and that will then take away energy ,not give it.

Depends on how you describe energy. They have alot of sugar so you get a boost from that in you blood. They have Caffeine so you get a rush from that and heart palpitations from too much. The combined effect I guess is energy but not the same you'd get from a good meal that lasts and doesn't give you the rebound effect of low blood sugar. They are a good pick-u-up once in a while.

Most of the energy drinks are loaded with sugar and some sort of caffeine derivative, what you will experience most of the time is a sugar rush that is enhanced, prolonged, stimulated by he caffeine.... this is not good for your heart for long term usage.. so if you do use these things, if you find yourself with the "jitters" you need to back off

For couple hours, yes. If you drink too much , they cause arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) and upset your stomach. However, they are great if you've got a deadline to meet. I love Red Bull

Oh yeah. I went on this road trip with my youth group, and all the guys were drinking monster like shots. It was so fun though. One really weird dude actually let us girls do his make-up,eyeliner, lipstick, the whole thing. We also had alot of fun with truth or dare. lol!
