Have they tried Cymbalta, a new antidepressant that has been out for about a year now.

Many patients who were previously unresponsive to other drugs are getting great results with it. It works on both ephinephrine and serotonin, unlike other drugs that work on just one.

Don't give up ! Have them talk to their doctor.

I know they work because I had depression and anxiety really bad before I took them. It has become a lot better with medicine. I take Cymbalta and would not think of going off it.

I didn't respond well and had really nasty side effects with them.

I choose to change my lifestyle instead. I eat better, exercise, and try to keep a positive outlook. It's more work, but it has been more effective for me.

I know my meds work b/c when I go off of them people will ask--"Have you stopped taking your meds?"

It takes time and trial and error to find the right pill and dosage....but it is soooo worth trying.

oh yeah, they work cause when I try to stop them I get really mean and nasty to my family, I have never tried counseling but maybe someone who doesn't do well with medicine should try.
