English really??? Then how come every other idiot I meet can't speak English or very little English? Where are all the English speaking people? I almost believed the guy who told me Korean.....there's more asian people where I work than anyone else and most of them barely speak any English! If you all speak English I'm proud of you but I can't seem to believe that most of the people in this country speak english as a first language. Sorry.

If by "America" you mean "United States of America" and not the CONTINENT called "America," it is English, but Spanish is also a significant portion of the many languages spoken in the USA. That's why you'll often see bilingual documents, voice menus, and labels that invariably use Spanish as the second language.

If you're talking about the continent, we've got South America composed of speakers of Spanish and Spanish-derived dialects. In North America, there are the English (and some Spanish) speakers of USA, and then Canada, which officially has two languages- English and French- though I've heard that English is dominant in all prefectures but Quebec.

English, of course. Spanish is second, probably followed by Chinese. Korean would be well down the list.

English is the most common language in the US, specifically the American dialect. It is not the official language of the US, though several states have declared it such.

It is not the original language of this country though. Originally, the country was dominated by hundreds of Native American languages.

Depends whether you mean America as in the USA or America as in South and North America together.

If you mean the USA, then it's English.

If you mean North and South together, then it's Spanish.

English first, Spanish second. All others are far behind those two.
