Am I completely out of my gord or is this something that happened maybe 2 years ago? And it isn't because cocoa is a drink and cacao is the plant, either. My whole life, chocolate was made from cocoa (co-co) beans that came from cocoa trees. All of a sudden this changed in like, i dunno, 2003? 2004? What happened?

well, actually Cocoa is the dried and partially fermented fatty seed of the Cacao tree.
Cacao is the Tree
Cocoa is the seeds, drink.
actually in Arabic we pronounce them Cacao all of them, even if it's Cacao or Cocoa.

I may not be that old, but I have always known that cocoa has come from the cacao bean/plant. There was an episode on "The Secret Life of... " on the Food Network channel.

B/c in their opinion your only "pretty hot" and not more or less. There is no problem with being pretty hot, consider it a complement and be happy with it. He could of said that you looked like you fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
