My hair has always been big and frizzy until about 5 years ago when I discovered the Chi straight iron. Try it with a product like Redken's heat glide or Biosilk, it's my miracle tool!

hey- i had the same problem. i have REALLY thick hair, and its really curly also when i would straighten it, i could never have it flat like i wanted. the only way i can get my hair flat flat is by doing this:
-first i wash and condition my hair
-then i use rollers or wrap my hair around my head and sit under a hair dryer for about 45 minutes until the hair is completely dry.
if ur hair isn't curly then you can just skip this and air or blow dry it.
-then i section each hair in small sections, use some oil or Proclaims Hair Glosser and put a bit on each section of hair, make sure to get some on the scalps. then run the Chi straightening iron through it and hold it close to the scalp for a few secs and then move it down.
the key to getting flat hair is flattening on the roots, thats that hardest part!
-sometimes i go through my head with the straightening iron twice to get it even flatter.
when i'm done my hair is pretty flat - altho not as flat as girls with thin hair- but i looks straight and full!
And i dont wash my hair everyday bc i definately dont have the time to do this every morning. but i usually go to the salon b/c its really cheap where i live and its faster.

All you need is the Maxi Glider from QVC. That is a home shopping network. It makes the curliest, frizziest hair smooth, bouncy and pin straight. The Beyond Straight hair spray stops your hair from getting frizzy if it rains. Once you iron your hair, and spray it, it should last for 2 weeks (if your hair is not naturally oily and can go without washings for 2 weeks). I have very long, spiral curled hair. Mine lasted 3 weeks and LOOKED /SMELLED GREAT.
I like to alternate between having curly hair and straight hair.
I should mention that I have hair like Andie Mc Dowell. But when I was done, it was like Lucy Liu. See ya.

I have thick hair as well and when I go and get it cut I tell my stylist that I need it thined out. It works really well and it will help your hair not weigh so much and it will be easier to style. Hope this helps

go to your hair stylist and ask them to "thin" it for you....ive had it done and it does help, they use a weird tool that thins out your hair so its easier to manage
