Bare in mind chick, atheists use their "logic"to solve and explain problems and occurrences. They are mentally caged by their desire to not believe, therefore they can only go so far with explaining something.Their own disbelief holds them back, and they use their "intellect" to explain everything.Being an atheist forbids them from going any further than what the world can provide. It's a shame they let their intellectual pride get in the way.

I'm happy your grandmother lived and made a full recovery.
This has little to do with the big bang. Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket from a police officer with a radar gun? If not, do you know someone who did? Police go after speeders with scientific theory called the Doppler Effect. Stand next to a highway (safe-distance please) and listen to change in the pitch of the traffic when it is coming towards you and going away from you. That change in pitch of the sound waves is the Doppler Effect.
You might be asking what this has to do with the big bang, and you are right to ask. Light does the same thing as sound waves. Physicists basically take big radar guns point them at the sky and discover that all the stars are moving away from each other, and accelerating. This is evidence that we are inside an expanding universe and at one point it was very small.
Two things we do not know and these are fair questions.
What caused the Big Bang?
What if anything happened before the Big Bang?
Scientists just do not know these and may never know.
Here is a simple web site that explains the Doppler Effect.

There are questions that cannot be answered on both sides of the isle. That is not what atheists are all about. They have a problem with faith fanatics that say since they believe some things that have been proved false yet still shove it down peoples throats. Also, I am not one of the faithful and am a firewalker. A few years ago my group set the worlds record for the hottest fire ever walked - 1500+ degrees. Experts lined up to say we might take one step but would never make a second step into the fire. 15 people WALKED not ran through 30 feet of fire - without any prayers or any mumbo jumbo. Was it god or the power of the mind. Your mind is the most powerful piece of machinery possible. Did god create it that way or did we EVOLVE that way.

The easiest and most compelling evidence for the Big Bang Theory is that it predicted a small amount of background radiation that comes from all directions. It took decades after the theory was put forward to be able to build devices that were sensitive enough to detect it, but guess what. It was there. I could go on and give you a list of things that it explains and predicted that we would find but you could easily find it if you really cared to. Published predictions are strong evidence because there is no way to verify them at the time.
As to the power of prayer. No one is going to take a single story as viable evidence. There is way too much that goes wrong with human perception to count a single story as being able to determine causality. Evidence has to be reproducible and over a large enough group to make up for the factors that are not seen by the doctors. There have numerous studies as to rather it helps or not. Here is my favorite from the NY Times http://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/31/health/31pray.html?ex=1301461200&en=4acf338be4900000&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss
This study actually had a statistically higher rate of complications for the group that had prayer over the control group. I am sure that it was a statistical hiccup, but if it were the other way you would be claiming that it help, so I guess I will claim that it actually hurts you chances. No study, and there have been several published in good scientific journals, has been able to find correlations that it helps at all. Your grandmother would have been fine if you hadn't prayed at all, its just that you are giving the prayer credit.

I don't know why you would seek me out specifically to answer this question. I'm sure any number of rational thinkers could do the trick. Why do we challenge religionists? As long as Christianity, as well as several of the other "ultimate truths", have as their end and gleefully sought after goal, the END OF THE WORLD, and as long as they believe that their rights are being violated if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat, you will have to put up with us being in your face. Why should we abandon a forum where we can let you know that you will not be allowed to carry out the silly "End Times" rubbish that you seem to forget would include the rest of us. As for the "Big Bang", In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd. I hope this satisfies your needs.

There is scientific evidence for the Big Bang Theory (I'm not a scientist, so I couldn't tell you. I defer to the minds of those trained in the field, just as I assume you do with doctors).
In all due respect, your grandmother's recovery is proof of nothing. My grandfather didn't miraculously recover even though the vast majority of his family prayed--and prayed hard--for him to survive. Is your granmother's life worth more than my grandfather's? Perhaps, instead of saying magic did something, you could say that sometimes people get better, even though doctor's didn't expect it.

It is quite apparent to me that praying for a loved one to get better and not die, would not work at least once for every single person on this earth. So when people pray for their loved ones to live, and they die anyway, does this prove there is no god?
The big bang theory has a plethora of scientific facts supporting it. I understand it is against Christianity to question things, but if you would like to learn, I would recommend researching this theory, you may just learn something.

lol. wow interesting the body has the ability to repair itself. that is so unexplainable... (healing has nothing to do with god - there is no study that shows, that those who pray for healing get it more then those who dont)
anyhow, i dont bash anyones religion unless they push it in my face. and honestly christians do it more then anyone else. so yes, i find that christians have the least amount of respect, therefore they earn the least amount of respect. it is a two way street, if you want respect you need to show it.
btw theres also been people who've had metal bars go through their head/brain and still are living, or one through their chest and still living. theres a guy that was born with half his skull missing and hes still living. it is weird how some doctors dont know everything about how the body works. just because a doctor doesnt know does not mean god made it so.

You collect all Christians under the umbrella of creationist, and most of them don't fit under it. This sort of history and physics discussion has little influence on the interpretation of the law for unity of man, and it is a nuisance in the struggle of the Christian faiths acting together to assist the world. I would do the world a great deal of good if their difference on this issue were not used to make divisions.

I am glad to her that your grandmother lived. As for the "Big bang" I never said that is where we come from. But galaxies have been seen colliding and collapsing and stars have been seen going super nova. And yet your god has not been seen. For all we know we could ALL be wrong.
