It Depends on how intrested you are in your schoolwork. Most high Schoolers that are home schooled teach themselves rather than their parents teach them. So, that is something to think about. Its good that you have some time to think about it before the next school year starts. I personally liked home schooling myself. Not as much homework, Not having to wake up at 5:30 every morning, and no hard projects that will keep you up till midnight,

Well.... the answer to this depends on SO much. So, I'm going to respond to your question, with more questions:

Why do you want to go to this private school?
What are your goals in life and in education?
What can this private school give you that homeschooling can't?
What are the pros and cons of each choice?
Are there more then two choices?
Have you done the research of what colleges want to see from students? Not all colleges will see small private school grades as any better than homeschooling experience.
Have you considered doing community college?
Do you have a job?
Do you volunteer in the community?
What do your parents think?
Have you talked to a career counselor?

Good luck!

What do you feel you will be giving up? What will you be gaining in return?

I've known kids to enter or return to the school system and they felt that they were gaining far more than they were giving up. (Conversely, there are other kids who would be giving up far more than they would gain if they went to school.)

If your reasons for going are true to you, and the private school you are looking at seems good, and your parents are willing to pay and all that ;), then it may be very worthwhile. Be careful though: don't just assume that because it's a private school it's good!

I would go to private school. If you want to go to collage it might be easier if you had some experience in a typical class room setting.
