Don't LOOK at them while there talking. Run to the nearest entrace after they've said whatever the heck it was which is possibly unimportant. As soon as they get ready to say something, or you see them nearing your desk, say you REALLY have the sudden urge to pee. And last but not least if they don't get the point that your avoiding them at all cost, hum a annoying song while there mid sentence or light up a smoke right there in the office, adn say "OH, I've been trying to quit this habit: sorry dude.

Next time I would suggest getting the annual leave confirmed before booking the holiday, but thats no use now. I think you have three options, either leave your job and file a complaint and go on holiday, call in sick when its your holiday, or change the date of the holiday for when you are allowed annual leave. Your boss is quite within his rights to refuse holiday if it affects operation and the running of the company for the time you will be away. Can't you speak with your job sharer and see if they are willing to cover your holiday? This may help your cause if they are willing to cover for you.

Play dumb - they hate not knowing things
Communicate/socialise with people they hate
Give them the idiots guide to stress management for Christmas
Give them how to win friends and influence people for Christmas
Record a song about how your job sucks
Never agree with them
Always agree with them
Downplaying everything
Fighting with other staff/your boss
Telling them you need the day off for something that is a life or death situation then bring in the pictures of the Rocky Horror Show you went to with your mates
Quit and give no notice
Increase productivity when they go on holiday
All are tried and tested

My boss at work was a right pain. We were short staffed and had worked thru our dinner hours for a month and he kept complaining that he didn't get a cup of tea in the afternoons so I made him a cuppa with a laxative tea bag in it!!!

whenever you have the opportunity, while other people are around who can hear or listen in, ask him a work related question that he'll not know the answer to. a few bouts of this embarrasment will keep him at a distance from you.

for office boys : don't send the most important tender job form, for accountant's : don't spend money too wisely, enjoy them as yours. buy a new funiture, renovate a little, for company uses, of course. otherwise, just get the hel from there, but make sure you are not alone!

It sounds like just being yourself is plenty annoying enough, based on the fact that you asked this question.
