i.e.: eathquakes cause buckling of bridges. You could do a project on a beam and how they could buckle if you put too much stress on them. What types of steel do you need and what types of cement or concrete you need to overcome those stresses on your project. Yield test, tensile strength, ductility on an object, etc. Good luck.
