Alright, this is a very long story, but I need some help really bad. My younger brother and I are homeschooled and have been for two years. Our mom teaches us, while our dad works. It was wonderful, and fun. Well, all of a sudden, my dad's office was sold and the new people don't want him and let me tell you, he was very high up on the list, CFO/Vice President. So he now works at home. They offered him a job at a different better part of the company, but he doesn't want it. We want him to take it.
Now, I once I say that, I can tell you why. Alright, at the beginning it was okay. But now none of us can stand him. You say the wrong thing to him, and that's it, there's a yelling match. I can't listen to what kind of music I like if he is around. None of us can talk on the phone without him being right there correcting or telling us what to say. We can't watch what we want to without him say everything is bad about it (Ugly Betty, Disney Channel, Maury, GMA)..will add more

I have done everything every body told me to do, but he is just taking advantage of it. He has competely stopped looking for a job!!! He wants to spend a year at home and go on this stupid RV trip. And if we do go on the RV trip I will kill somebody. We plan on moving and if we do that, I am not going to get to know our new home like I want to.

I'm tired! And I can't help it. I need space.

hes frustrated and overwhelmed w/ bills, findin a job or whatever. have a honest converstation with him and maybe he'll understand how you feel soon enough. if not, get active in a church group and let him take you there. maybe he'll stay every once in a while if he has nothin to do and if God allows he will hear the right things and understand what your feeling. GOOD LUCK!!

I answered the question before and i still think that you need to quit disrespecting your dad..he just lost his job, it's not easy to lose a job and everything that you are used to. Give him a break he is probaly stressed to the limits on not having a job and having to stay home all the time, so give him some time and try to understand how he is feeling!!!!
