Ok on a day like today where the snow is flying and its about 25 degrees out what do you like to eat? Share recipes if you want. This is what I made for dinner today.

Beef Stroganoff

About 1 pound homeade egg noodles
2 lbs ground beef
1 medium onion
16 ounces of sour cream
beef broth

Saute ground beef and onion together until cooked. Meanwhile cook egg noodles in beef broth (gives a great flavor) Drain noodles reserving about 1-2 cups of beef broth. Mix meat mixture, sour cream and beef broth to the consistency that you like. (We like a lot of sauce so we add more beef broth.) Then mix together with noodles. Salt and pepper to taste. Bake in 325 oven covered about 30 minutes. Uncover and bake another 15 minutes.

I'm serving with steamed broccoli and a salad.

I love homemade chili with open-faced grilled cheese sandwiches. Warms me up just thinking about it.

I love making Sheperd's Pie, while boiling the spuds for the mashed potato topping the house gets nice and toasty, and then of course as an end result you have a quick, easy meal, which is re-heat friendly!
Just brown a pound of ground beef, drain, add beef or mushroom gravy. Can of corn or peas on top of that, (this is all in a casserole dish)... the spoon on the mashed spuds.. I like to add grated cheese to the top...heat in oven at 375 for hf an hour, broil about 5 min; so cheese melts, and as soon as you pull it out of the oven, sprinkle with seasoning salt!

It's all about the comfort food for me.

I'm making this for supper tonight:

Saucy Garlic Pork Chops with rice
Steamed Veggies and Salad

Chops recipe:
1 tbsp. oil
4 boneless chops (1 lb), season w/salt and pepper if desired
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
4 cups hot cooked rice

Heat oil in a skillet. Add chops and garlic and cook for 10 minutes or until chops are well browned on both sides. Remove them and set aside.

Stir soup and milk into skillet. Heat to a boil. Return chops to the pan and reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 5 minutes or until the chops are slightly pink in the center.

Serve with rice. (some use couscous...noodles would be good too.)

I enjoy eating breakfast more at dinner than during normal hours in the winter. There is something really good about pancakes at 6:00 in the afternoon. Yummy.

I like thick hearty soups. Like split pea and ham, potato chowder, crab chowder, or a thick cheesy soup. With some garlic bread and maybe a salad.

Nothing like curling up on the couch under a blanket with a bowl of hot soup.

Sausage, bisquits and gravy! Bake bisquits in oven. Cook ground sausage in pan. Sprinkle a thin coating of flour over cooked sausage. Mix in. Add a milk until slightly soupy and stir. If too soupy add flour. If you want more gravy add more milk. Serve with sliced tomatoes. Oh yeah, this is makin' me hungry!

I like your Stroganoff recipe but it's missing a can of mushroom soup. For my favorite, it's Stewed Beef on garlic mashed potatoes.
