Men wrote the Bible’

‘That’s true. About 40 of them had a part in it. But it was inspired by God.’
(1) ‘What does that mean? That God directed the writing, much as a businessman uses a secretary to write letters for him.’
(2) ‘The idea of receiving messages from someone out in space should not surprise us. Even humans have sent messages and pictures from the moon. How did they do it? By using laws that originated long ago with God himself.’
(3) ‘But how can we be sure that what the Bible contains is really from God? It contains information that could not possibly have come from a human source. What kind? Details about the future; and these have always proved to be completely accurate.

Most Christians believe that the Bible is God's word because they were filled with the Holy Spirit when they wrote it. Some don't believe that God is limited to the Bible, like me, a Catholic. True, I do believe that the Bible is the inerrent word of God, but I believe that things have happened since that time and need to be seen as part of Christianity. For example, Joan of Arc. A large portion of the Bible was just letters to specific people, at a specific time and place.

The Lord God revealed to His Prophets what to write. That the bible is the inspired (Holy Spirit breathed) Word of God. It was written by true Prophets of the LORD God.

If the Lord God isn't the inspiration, then it isn't the Word of God. The bible books have been tested and found truly the Word of God. The additional apochryphal books in the Catholic cannon aren't God Inspired. There are contradictions to the Word of God in them.

let me give you this example: A business man might have a secretary write a letter. that letter contains the businessman's thoughts and instructions.hence, it is really his letter, not the secretary's. In a similar way the bible contains God' message, not that of the men who wrote it down. Thus, the entire bible truthfully is "the word of God."-1 Thessalonians 2:13

John 1:1 "In the begining was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. Without him nothing was made."

If God designed the universe then how hard could it be to reveal his truth to mankind?

The bible is part of the many interesting pieces of fiction litterature found in middle eastern tales and legends.
It is a collective work of fiction written over the years by many differnet writers. It is interesting to read. Tales and legends often are. One does not "believe" in them. Doing so would be symptomatic of mental disorder.
