I was proposed to at home in bed. I dont think any of the "typical" engagement locations are really that great. Everyone does those. Be creative........something that is significant to your relationship. Something that will be meaningful to you both.

Im 23 years old and just recently had cataract surgery. I was diagnosed with cataracts at the age of 20. I have no medical coverage and finally found a foundation that would sponsor my surgery.

Since I had been blind and quickly loosing more of my sight as time passed it was a relief.

I had the cataracts prior to meeting my now fiance and he decided that since I had such a hard time seeing before hand, he wanted the first thing I could see to be my ring. Originally he had wanted to put the ring on my finger as soon as I got out of surgery, but that wasnt possible.

I wasnt allowed to wear jewelry during surgery so when we got home I was still a little sick from the meds and wanted to nap. He offered to put my jewelry back on for me and in place of the ring he bought me for Christmas last year, he put on my engagement ring then told me to look at my finger.

Granted in bed is not the most romantic place........but its the best engagement story Ive ever heard......if I do say so myself.

Plus, my ring is gorgeous........and I can actually see it.

Anywhere can be romantic, depending on what he's going to do. My husband proposed to me at a Christmas charity event in front of a room full of people - I wasn't expecting that but I said yes! I thought for sure he would do it at home while we were putting up the Christmas tree or something.

A combo out of the answers, in the summer while it rains (slightly) lol at the place where you first met or that had a significant meaning to both of yawl, & maybe you can tell some friends/family to be there & pop out after she says yes! Oh or go all traditional infront of the family at christams right after dinner with a big rock & everybody will be like awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

I hear the place of the first date, but what if you met online, I guess propose to them online, that would be something new. I'd say at a ball game, display it in lights, that should be awesome(and pricey from what I hear, but she's worth it, right?) now if you don't like games, your favorite restaurant would be the one to be in when doing so. I've always liked that "finding the ring the champaigne" scenario pretty cool

Under the Century Tree on Texas A&M's University's campus in College Station, TX

The giant oak tree is over 100 years old. It's a tradition for guys to propose to their girls under the tree.

yeah, paris smells like pee, so the most romantic place would be her favorite place in the world, make a weekend of it, and then propose the last night.

Depends on the partner. If she is afraid of heights, don't do it at the top of a waterfall. If she loves the beach, do it there.

Most importantly, rehearse what you are gonna say. Otherwise, you'll choke up and say something stupid.
