We know that atheists do not believe in God but what if the atheists have got it wrong? What if there really is a creator God out there who cares about mankind? If, as the Bible says, we are created in God's image, and God is love, would he care about atheists?

He loves athiests by the definition we have of God.

It is not that He has a problem with Athiests, so much as that Athiests have a problem with God. The issue is one of impenitence (among other problems of sin and so forth and the fact that only God judges) in which many Athiests profoundly and proudly deny God's right to exist.

Of course God would care. One's belief does not make something real or true. If I decided to believe that you didn't exist, I am certain that you still would no matter how hard fast I believe that you don't.

The scary thing is that God is also a God of justice and sin separates us from God. That being the case the question then becomes what is it that makes us right or reconciled with God. As a Christian, I believe that it was Jesus who died on the cross for our sins and thus became the a substitution for us. Now it is up to us to repent from sinning and believe and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

The problem with atheists is that through denying God they can never get to repentance. Most Christians throughout history agree that it is up to some sort of human choice whether or not they will accept Jesus as savior. However in modern times some people called Universalist believe that just about everybody is going to heaven.

Based on the actions of this bible God do you really think if such a being exists that he actually loves any of us?

Get real first of all he makes the knowledge of good and evil forbidden. Even though the knowledge of good and evil in itself doesn't give anyone a disposition toward either. it just means that we are able to make a choice. This God didn't want us to be able to actually make a choice!

Then after that Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. HOW COULD THIS BE WHEN THERE WAS NO LAW BY WHICH TO ESTABLISH WHAT WAS GOOD AND WHAT WAS EVIL?
Then there is Genesis 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. WHAT DID THE BEASTS, CREEPING THING, OR FOWLS DO TO PISS THIS GOD OFF? Or is it he was just on a blood thrusty rampage?

Then there is Sodom and Gomorrah. Genesis 18:32 Then he said, "May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?" He answered, "For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it." HOW DO YOU FIND EVEN ONE WITHOUT A LAW BY WHICH TO ESTABLISH WHAT IS GOOD AND WHAT IS EVIL?

I could go on and on with evidance from the bible that this God is
A. PURELY EVIL
B. HATES HUMANITY
C. LOVES TO SLAUGHTER CHILDREN!
D. HATES ALL ANIMALS!

And you have the gall to call this God loving? You really think killing people without giving them a guideline of what is good and evil is loving?

How would you like to be told that you are guilty of something but never be told what it is. Then as a result of your guilt you are burned alive.

OH WAIT A MINUTE CHRISTIANS DID THAT! IT'S CALL THE INQUISITIONS!
YOU MUCH BE A CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK!

Cotterall Adams : Atheists hang around the religion and spiritual section for the same reason people visit zoo's....to see the less evolved species acting silly...

There's nothing more massaging to the ego of an atheist to know there's someone who believes a man in the sky listens to their every thought..or that there's a person who believes the Bible is "real", or that the Earth was created in seven days.

We love "believers" because they make us atheists feel enlightened about life.

We follow our own path to righteousness, and we dont need a book to show us the way, just a bit of common sense and decency..

Peace..

God loves everyone even Atheists. It hurts him that they don’t believe in him and he hopes that some will eventually find him, and some have.

God did not make atheists man has free will; it is the atheist choose not to believe in God.

possibly they * shouldn't *. If God rather gave everyone loose will, then atheists, for despite reason, have desperate to no longer have self belief. As somebody above already mentioned, "arguing" for God's existence is comparatively moot. in the tip, somebody will have self belief by way of fact the Holy Spirit finally convicted them of the fact. If one would not have self belief in the Holy Spirit, i do no longer see that occurring. If an atheist makes a decision their present day existence would not experience "superb", they are going to seek for some thing else. Do Christians have a "extra useful" existence by way of fact of God? seem at Paul, he grow to be overwhelmed, whipped and run out of city for his ideals. Christians would say Christianity brings them convenience. An atheist might retort that they p.c. no such crutch. Christians would say they sin much less. Ha! Neither has a lock on morality. You reported that we can't use "the afterlife" as a help for why Christianity is extra useful. If this way of predicament is placed on the reaction, then we would desire to stay with studies in this earth. if so, if we decrease our reaction to existence on earth, we would locate that the atheist might * continually * think of their existence is extra useful as an unbeliever. this isn't any longer till you grow to be a have self belief that your attitude differences to comprise the afterlife. --- further ---- i spotted you mentioned the two "in the long-term" and "brushing aside the afterlife". To a Christian, the two are inseparable.

According to the Bible an athiest is rejecting everthing God had given and made. An atheist therefore doesnt beleive God is omnipotent, omnipresent or even omniscient obviously because they dont beleive in Him. For this reason athiest wont enter Heaven.

There is no love for God from an athiest

p.s i respect athiest but i am looking at the quetion from my knowledge of the Bible. (i am Muslim)

Of course god cares and loves athiest!! He knows everything about them what they think, how they feel, their doubts. He loves them very much but it hurts him to see that they have turned their back on him and don't believe in him. He tries to put sings out there for them to come to him, but he can't force the gift of salvation. They have to make their own decisions.

I speak as an atheist...
If I were wrong and there WAS a god, he wouldn't give two figs for my negativity towards him. He'd have enough believers to watch over and answer prayers for, and I'd be more than happy to be ignored by him.
