So My girlfriend dose this more than I think she relizes. She always asks me if I think that such and such is attractive, and I say yeah sure I think she is attractive. Then she asks me if I think that such and such is prettier than her. Now that puts me in a bind. What do i say? If I say NO your way hotter than her she would think I'm just saying that, b/c I have to. and if I say yeah well, No way thats a huge no no and I know that... But why, Why girl girls have to ask that and put guys ina position.

When your girlfriend asks you if another girl is pretty the answer should ALWAYS be: 'She's alright I suppose, nowhere near as hot as you'. This puts an end to the conversation and puts you in the good books.
The reason girls ask this question is because we're constantly being told about how men picture every woman they see naked and all that... It's quite unnerving to think your boyfriend's picturing another girl naked, so asking the question is looking for reassurance that you're prettier than other girls. Also every now and again a girl just likes to fish for compliments. The best way to avoid this situation completely is to constantly tell your girl how hot she is.

She's really only looking for reassurance that even with Shakira she's still your #1(true or not).
Tell her she is beautiful and there are other pretty girls in the world but she's the one that makes you hot. If she says"its only bc you love me,waa waa" then say,Maybe but I still feel that way about you".If she says do you wish you were with a girl with a rockin body like that tell her you chose her bc SHE makes you hot and you wouldnt have chosen a girl that didnt(makes no sense). Even tho some people do.

Ha Ha, I used to do that all the time... Anyways, I have figured out that it is kind of putting your guy in a hard position.
The truth is that girls just want to know how they can better themselves or if you want them to change at all.

hmm that sounds familiar I do the same to my boyfriend I guess we feel insecure about our looks especially when we see someone who looks more attractive than we are, we like to know what our men rate us to other girls. I think its just low self esteem just keep telling her how beautiful she is to help her get over this. But defineley be honest with her even if it might hurt her feelings cause she probably can tell if your lying..

When a girl asks that question she is only looking for reassurance that you STILL find her attractive. Maybe if you start saying how sexy, beautifuly, etc. she is more often you'll find she doesn't ask that question as often. Help her know how you really feel by not only word but actions as well!!!

Stop answering...tell her you are sorry she's feeling so insecure but you're not going to play that game with her anymore...and let it go.
It's a foolish question and only tends to upset people for no reason. I don't know why some chicks ask it...insecurity is very unappealing.

Not all girls do it. Sounds like your gal is insecure. Tell her that these questions only create problems and could lead to arguments. And that she should be secure in the fact that you are with her and not somebody else.

They feel insecure and want you to reinforce the idea that you find them attractive. Typically, you should say something like "she's OK", or "almost as pretty as you". this should help. Or you can do the cocky/funny thing and say something like "hell yeah she does! you should try dressing like that!" then laugh so she knows you're just teasing

They ask it just to see if you are going to even consider having an opinion. I personally think that girls that ask questions like that on a regular basis have self esteem issues.
