There are many military jobs that require good writting skills. The military actually has a Journalist in all branches. If you're looking to be a journalist look into that. Not only do the write for base newspapers, there is AFRTS (Armed forces Radio Television Serrvice) that uses military journalist for radio and television news programs. If you have cable check out the Pentagon Channel.

Since I am not in the military, and have never been affiliated in any which way with the military I can only speculate. I would have to say that the best position for those who have a knack for writing would be either a recruiter or technical writer. I would assume that since the modern military is so heavily laden in the latest technology, technical writers would naturally be desired because with technology comes the need for a lot of technical documentation to be written. Recruiters, by the very nature of having the formidable task of having to convince others to join an institution that might put them in precarious situations, must be able to express themselves verbally and in writing in a very eloquent and convincing fashion. I hope that is some help.
