My niece is getting married and has a dilemma on how to correctly place both her Biological Father and her stepfather on the Wedding Invitation. She loves them both and wishes to place both on the invitation but just don’t know how. What suggestions can you make to help her out with this problem? Her older brother is walking her down the aisle to avoid hurting either of her Fathers but the invitation is a different problem. PLEASE Help

It's 2006. You can put whatever you want on a wedding invitation. If she loves them both, put them both on - "Sue Smith, daughter of Jane and Bob Smith, and John Doe". And I say, have them both walk her down the aisle, one on each arm.

To heck with tradition. I get my husband's ex-wife to hem his pants because she can sew and I can't. Animosity is ridiculous and a wedding in particular is not the place for it.

In today's world, anything goes with weddings. Don't be concerned about what is proper, do what works for the bride. Where she has two fathers, yes they should definately both be on the invitation. Infact, put all four parents (providing biological mother and father have new partners)

Mrs. xxx Smith, Mr. xxx Smith, Mrs. xxx Jones and Mr. xxx Jones

cordially invite you to share the blessing of their beloved daughter ....etc

That's my opinion anyway!
