My husband says sit back and cruise. Others say give it to god.
what does this mean. Does it mean to trust the universe and everything that if provides? Does it mean to trust and have faith in yourself. That old term of everything happens for a reason? Or your on the right path. What does it mean? And how is it different for you compared to how others may view it to be?

As children bring their broken toys
With tears for us to mend
I took my broken dreams to God
Because He was my friend.
Then, instead of leaving Him
In peace to work alone
I hung around and tried to help
In ways that were my own.
At last I snatched them back and cried,
"How can you be so slow?"
"My child," he said, "What could I do?"
"You never did let go."

The key word in our lives seems to be "control". We like to "control" our lives when we should trust that God will take care of us. Our children don't worry about where their next meal is coming from because they know that we, as loving parents, will take care of them. We need to put that same trust in God, our Father, that he will take care of us.

When you turned your life to God, means you have to start living a holy live, obey God, and put trust in Him. Put God as number one in your live.
It doesn't mean that you just sit back and do nothing. How can you serving the Lord when you just being a couch' potato.
You still have to work, and earn for your daily living.
But once you put your live in God's hand, every strugle you have and every trial you have is not going to bring you down. It's going to bring you closer to God. Trust and have faith. Not everything will come easy, besides God is not a great ATM in the sky.
He's sovereign and holy.

I'm a Christian and honestly, I do not like that phrase. When I hear that phrase, I think of people abandoning responsibility for their actions. I see them saying they are "giving Jesus the steering wheel of their life" and that everything they do, it is Jesus doing. This conflicts with sin, but then they go back and say that when they sin they are fighting with Jesus to take the steering wheel back. It's all silliness, to be honest. They look at how they live their life and say that when they are doing well, God is living their life for them but when they are doing wrong they are living their life. It's looking at their life through hindsight.

What I think the phrase should mean is that I have learned what things God approves of and disapproves of, and I try to live my life according to those standards. It isn't God living my life...I'm living it.

don't be stupid!! you're patently dealing with a perplexing, perplexing time on your existence... yet "turning your complete existence over to God", isn't the respond. have self belief me... i've got been there. I won't fake to tell you i understand what's happening interior your head, yet i understand what grow to be dealing with mine. You get informed the comparable dogma repeatedly by employing non secular zealots. They finally convince you that in case you only supply all you will desire to the Lord, your existence will without notice be chic, and you have got all you p.c. on earth. i do no longer understand a element concerning the enthusiasm Ministries team. My "benefactors" have been on the Florida Bible college in Hollywood, Florida. For a time i grow to be brainwashed and lost all that I had. finally, I awakened and found out what a sucker i might been. My suggestion is to step decrease back, take a protracted annoying seem at what you're being informed and contemplate whether this is how Jesus might do it. Too many "Christians" prepare their faith, yet no longer Christianity. a real Christian actively, on a regular basis, performs those issues Jesus taught and practiced. issues like, Love thine enemy, Bless those that curse you, supply all you will possibly p.c. to heal the unwell. stay as Jesus lived, with no longer something however the gown on His decrease back and the sandels on His ft. AND so a tactics as i understand, there have been only 3 people who did this: Jesus... Saint Francis of Assisi... and mom Teresa. each little thing else, each and all of the church homes, cathedrals, Holy robes and costumes, each and all of the money contributed, is valueless, meaningless, window dressing. Oh, the persons who derive income from this, those with the flamboyant autos and residences, the crystal cathedrals and the glib tongues might of direction disagree. stay the main suitable existence you may. Do all which you will to persist with the classes of Jesus. And God will see your efforts and your advantages would be there in Heaven. you do no longer would desire to offer your self to God. only be a sturdy guy or woman, help others to the better of your skill and supplies... yet do no longer abandon your self to God. God would not p.c. that.. have self belief me. AND Oh by employing the way... I stay in Roswell, Georgia... just some miles from Alpharetta... it particularly is a huge place to stay... yet do no longer supply up your job, and disrupt your loved ones... it would not be the superb or maximum suitable element to do.

It means that when one gives their life to God, that they are doing His will and not their own. I gave my life to God, my life is dead and I only do His will, not my own. What do I mean by His will? I do the things that are pleasing to God and that glorify Him. I live my life by the Commandments, I love my neighbor and do all I can to those who are less fortunate then Iam.It does not mean that I sit back and cruise. I live my life to and for God. Giving it to God means to cast all your worries upon Him and He will take care of them. 1 Peter 5:7.

When we open our minds to a wonderful covenant (promise) with God to walk and be a part of the best of love in this world, we are striving and changing in spirituality. There is no perfection on earth and all are seeking. We are all a 'work in progress' and not in a position to judge anyone else.

I have submitted my life/will to Jesus. Much like a knight of the middle ages would walk up to a king, knell down before him and ask him what his will is.

I want to live my life so that Jesus would be glorified. Jesus is on the throne and can give me devine appointments that I could never made happen if I wanted to.

God is Good....ALL the Time.

to give my life over to God, means that most importantly that my life does not belong to me, it belongs to God the one who created me, and saved me from fallenness. if it wasnt for God, i wouldn't be here. so i owe everything i am to him. what is the practical aspect of this? it means that i am not the driver! i am not even in the front seat. God wants us to trust i him that He has it in for our best interests, and just let him take the wheel and drive.
