When a guy says, let me know in advance when your out in my town, rather than just meeting by chance,does it mean he likes you?

I'd say he likes you. Most guys, at least that I know, aren't big into planning in advance, so if he says to let him know...then he probably wants to see you. He might be trying to play it cool a little bit still, by not setting up anything official. So when you call to let him know, there's a chance he may not act as anxious to hang out. Still, be prepared to have him show up "unexpectedly" with a couple buddies when your out!

send him a text saying i will be in town Saturday night see what sort of reply u get and take it from there if he text back saying he will meet up with you then i would say he is interested

He means that he wants to know if you are going to be around his area so he can be extra vigilant and avoid running into you.
Who knows what it means? Only the guy knows. Why don't you ask him if he likes you?

Well, if he says that, it means that he wants to at least hang out with you, maybe more. So go for it if you are interested.
