Among the earliest foot deodorants were aromatic herbs such as allspice, which nineteenth-century Russian soldiers would put in their boots. Some types of powders and activated charcoal insoles, such as Odor Eaters, have been developed to combat foot odor, but they are not as effective as thoroughly washing feet, choosing shoes with proper ventilation, changing socks regularly, and wearing shoes only when necessary. It is also highly recommended to wear socks made of 100% cotton and make sure those socks give your feet room. If the foot odor smells really bad and these solutions aren’t working much, then a doctor is the best source. There are a lot of prescription drugs that can treat serious foot odor, some by killing bacteria and some by reducing sweating of the feet.

Charcoal based insoles will provide the best odour relief as it is a natural bactericide and odour collector. However soaking your feet in a potassium permanganate bath for 20 mins every day for about 14-21 days (depending on severity) will eliminate the problem.

I had the same problem, and the only thing I have found to work is powdering the inside of my socks each day before i put them on with Dr. Scholl's medicated foot powder. This is a powder that comes in a yellow plastic bottle (not the aerosol type) and it contains Tolnaftate for killing athletes foot fungus. There's probably other brands that work similarly.

Epsom salts, works as a deodoriser and leaves your feet really soft too. Ask for some in your Christmas stocking. Merry Christmas!

Take really hot baths in baking Soda once a week...

It leaves your whole body, super soft and relatively odorless!

body odor comes from an off balance PH. Baking soda is a neutralizer and it corrects high acid levels that cause odor. YUCK!
