Just wanted to get "Christians" and "seculars" different perspectives. Does the time of year a person is born really determine whether or not you'll get along with that person? (So if you don't mind let me know what you believe in as far as religion is concerned)

The Bible condemns the practice of astrology.
Why would stars millions of miles away from us affect us anymore than the Sun does which is a lot closer? Your actions, desicions and experiences determine your future.

yes Zodiac does have a lot to to with compatibility however using just the sun signs are not enough as some people are very true to there signs, However most people are influenced heavily by the rising and moon positions.
so the only way to get a true reading is go to a professional service or use a program such as astrolabe to do you charts
but if you do you find it very accurate.
however the daily horoscope is about accurate as using a global weather report for your local weather
I a spiritual person with a firm belief in god however I got my doubts about the Church

Well, all the earth and water signs I've dated have ended in complete and utter disaster - for the most part we were barely able to hold on conversations, and certainly we couldn't understand each other. I've had much better luck with air and fire signs. And I don't go in thinking, "Oh, he's a Taurus - it will never work." I just went in and it didn't.
I'm an air sign and a Wiccan.

it will only be true if u believe it urself. e.g there is some1 u h8 bt by chance has the star sign that ur sign dosent get along with... u can either believe it or not.
the same thing with ur moods - if urs says ur a moody person u wont be happy with that fact so then once uve read that u turn moody about it nd ull say : Omg im moody... its true!!! - when its a load of .... Lol hope its helped

No. My zodiac says me and my fiance are completely not compatible and we've known each other for 7 years and have been together for 4.

No, I think not. St. Paul says that we are to "walk by faith and not by sight"...
Making guesses (which is all that astrology really is) about who we will be compatible with is no better than throwing dice or tossing a coin.
HOWEVER....I have noticed (and I don 't know why...) I seem to be compatible with other "Aquarians" as good friends.

no it has nothing to do with how compatiable you are or even you personality like the last person said its just for fun and maybe back in the old day it might have been a way for people to have something in common and to maybe then date which could have led to this but who knows....

well, i have seen the zodiac qualities of myself and friends portrayed in their actions. i do not believe, though, that the zodiac should be used when you are seeing if you are compatable with someone. my boyfriend and i are, according to the zodiac, the most uncompatible arround, yet we get along better then most couples.

You would be surprised how accurate it can be.
I didn't put much stock in Astrology until after I met my wife. Started reading our "match" in Astrological terms and it was frighteningly accurate.
