It could be a urinary tract infection or if your dog has been urinating in your place, when that's something he doesn't normally do, that might be his way of telling you something is wrong. Blood in the urine is serious and don't wait any longer, you're pet could be in pain, the problem could get worse, and in the long run you will pay more of your pocket to get your dog better. Call the vet, they can give you suggestions what to look for or tell you if it is important to bring your dog in as soon as possible.

You do need to get him to the vet. It is probably either a urinary tract infection, or a blockage. Both are really unusual in a puppy! Both could make him strain to urinate often, and explain the blood.
Regardless of what it is specifically, blood in urine, and straining, is always cause for concern. You are smart to get him to the vet. Do it SOON.

aww, poor thing has a bladder infection. my old dog gets them all the time, she used to get them really bad when she was younger and would have to go out every 5 minutes.
how much does your dog weigh? you can give it childrens buffered asprin, my 45lb dog is allowed 1 when she gets the infections so start with 1/4 of a tablet. it MUST BE CHILDRENS BUFFERED asprin. do NOT give it anything else. it will just help with the pain and swelling of the bladder making it want to go a little less. you can also give him some cranberry juice. he probably wont like it cause its bitter, but it will help. i usually have to mix it with water so my dog will drink it, but at first give it straight up and try to get him to drink at least 1/4 of a cup.
it most likely is a bladder infection, but it could be a kidney infection as well, so its best to go to the vet to be sure, but you can try to above suggestions in the time being to make him more comfortable.

It is not uncommon for a puppy to urinate outside of its designated area and if it does you must not automatically assume that the puppy has a problem. However if you find that your puppy is having problems with excessive urination or will not go in the designated location then it is probable that your puppy is having urinary problems. Some of the reasons for urinary problems are: diabetes, kidney problems and urinary tract infections.
Take your puppy to the veterinarian if the problem persists.
these problems can also make blood appear in the urine

The most obvious condition is a kidney infection, but there are many other things that could be wrong.
If left untreated, infections can be fatal.
Put yourself in his position. If you were peeing blood, and were helpless, you'd want somebody to help you.
You really should take the dog to the vets. hope everything is ok

That is a very serious symptom. It could be something as simple as a urnary tract infection but could be something as serious as cancer of the bladder or internal bleeding. Take him to the vet immediately.

sounds like cystitis (inflammation/infection of the urinary tract), its easily sorted as long as there's not other concerns.
he does need to be seen as soon as poss to get it sorted. like when we get cystitis is very uncomfortable and requires antibiotics.....its the same in dogs.
if he is not urinating at all or is extremely uncomfortable this is more of an emergency and should be seen today.
