My mother is Irish, so I know I can do it, unless the rules have changed. How does one do this in Canada?

Go to the Irish embassy or consulate office closest to you. They will assist you.

If you have automatic citizenship from birth, you don't need to apply for citizenship. Contact the British Consulate/Embassy to enquire as to the rules at the time you were born.

One would think it would help to go to Ireland. I can't see Ireland making a Canadian resident a citizen! My mother was from Romania, I wouldn't expect them to send me a green card in the mail!

First admit you are gay, move out of your mothers house, stop using that fake french accent with a lisp and buy a case of Guinness Stout and start celebrating. You can do it!
