What is considered the holy ghost and where did he come from?

In the Holy Bible where did the Holy Ghost come from and what is his purpose?

The Holy Ghost is one third of the Trinity which is part of the Almighty God. All three where there in the beginning creating the universe and the earth and all of creation.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth

Genesis 1:26-27 And God said,
LET US MAKE MAN IN "OUR IMAGE AFTER OUR LIKNESSES" and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

The Holy Ghost, or the Comforter that Jesus described, is that Holy Being that completes the Godhead. He is the one filling the immensity of space and will manifest the truthfulness in all things to those in a sincere, contrite attitude.

Other than that, not much is known of this Special Holy Person. In my perspective, a time will come when the Holy Ghost will once acquire a mortal body and then be resurrected in immortal perfectness just as God the Father and His Son has become.

The Holy Ghost is another term for the Holy Spirit, whom many religions consider to be part of the Holy Trinity of God - God in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost). His purpose is to inspire and guide people of faith.

Trinitarians (most christians) believe the Holy Ghost to be one of the persons in Trinity. He is eternal (no begginning, no end) as the other two persons, the Son and the Father. His purpose with you is the same as the Son and the Father, to save you.
