She's 2 months old, and WILL NOT use the litter box. I have tried everything I've ever thought of, and even looked online. I don't want to have to get rid of her, but she relieves herself all over clothes, towels, and especially our bed! We've had to block off our bedroom entirely, and sleep on the couches, because she wouldn't stop relieving herself on our bed.

We don't live near a lake or canal.
And they said she was trained when we got her, obviously not.
I can't stay home with her, I work full time.
I tried leaving her in the bathroom alone with food, water, and litter box (which I always keep clean, and no of the others have a problem using, and I change the TYPE of litter, didn't help) and she used the bathtub.
:(

I got her from a friend of mine. She bottle fed the whole litter (which makes no sense, because she has the mother and said the mother produced enough milk) so now I have this one with a litter problem, and her brother has a suckling problem that I can't break :P
I'm going to leave this open for a little while longer, I've tried most of these things. I guess all I can do is get a crate and try that. Thank you all for your help thus far!!

Have you put her in the litter box and gently taken her paw and scratched the litter? Sometimes cats don't know it is diggable, until someone shows them. The next thing you do is get a bit of the feces she is letting lay around and put that in the litterbox, right on top. Show that to her. Then go through the confining process again. If she goes in the tub, put it in the box. If you can manage to sop up a bit of urine with a paper towel, squeeze that into the box. It sounds like she doesn't know what a litter box is for.

Buy a crate and lock her up until she learns the new routine of using a litter box. If necessary, line the box with a rag or towel as it sounds as if she likes to relieve herself on soft items. Gradually add small amount of litter as she's being retrained. Investigate other types of litter box materials like mulch, chips etc. She may hate clay litter.
Good luck. This is a tough one. Where did you get her? Sometimes that is an indication of how she was raised before you adopted her and where she acquired her bad habits. I have a friend who's cat would only use the bathtub too---uck!
You will have to keep the litter box VERY VERY clean otherwise she might reject the entire idea. And also use one with very tall sides as she doesn't understand the concept of doing 'it' in a contained area.
Some cats just do not want to share a litter box, or be forced to use one someone else's has done a do-do in. And there is nothing you can do about that.
If all else fails, keep her in a crate or try to relocate her to a farm.

She might not like the litter you're using. I had that happen once. Try a different brand. Maybe the box isn't where she wants it. Move it to a secluded but accessible place. Make sure to get all the scent out of where she went so she won't go back there again. Use Urine Gone from the pet store. Good luck!

did you make sure she doesn't have a bladder infection? If not then make sure you continuously take her to the litter box thru the day every hour or so and if you catch her in the act say no and immediately pick her up and bring her to the litter box keep doing this everyday and don't leave any clothing on the floor and hopefully she'll get the hint to use the litter box and make sure it's kept clean kitty's don't like dirty litterboxes

wow that stinks, never had that problem. maybe she doesnt like the kind of litter your using... was she using a litter box when you got her?? When I first got my kittens, which was a couple months ago, I just took them to the litter box put them in there and scraped there paws around. if you have a laundry room, you could put her in there with the litter box, or in the bathroom. or even the kitchen , a place where she wont ruin the carpet or go on clothes. My one kitten I just got was outside, and she still used the litter box. is the box too big where she cant get in it??

Firstly, a cat will not use a litter box that it considers dirty so scoop often and be sure it is accessable at all times. You might also try a different brand of litter. Some cats don't care for perfumed varieties so try one that is unscented. Lastly, make an appointment at your vet. She may be suffering from a urinary tract infection. Cats will urinate in obvious places to let you know that something is wrong.

if she's 2 months old, how long have you had her? Sounds like a while at least, she was probably taken away from her mother too young to be taught tha ettiquite from her mom or litter mates.
