Actually it is good to eat healthy everyday that you can and maybe have a bit of a cheat day once a week. You need proper nutrition for your workout to perform at your peak, and you need it to aide in recovery.

Really it is a reward for your body to eat healthy- and a punishment to give into cravings...you may get some enjoyment from the taste- but usually it makes you feel worse in the long run.

It is always good to eat well after a workout, lots of protein. A good diet all the time is important for anyone/

On the day you workout
You need more calories anyway to consume so that your metabolism does not slow because of all that you're burning w/ the exercise
Yo also need something to replinish your muscles from after the good workout you get
