I suppose that you mean "ganas", that is one of the most frequent used Spanish verbs. The infinitive is "ganar", which mean earn( a living, contest, etc) , win ( game) and even improve, in some phrases can mean "want" too.
For example:
"ganar la vida" = earn a living
"salir ganando"=come out better off
"Ganas" is the is the plural noun of "gana",which means 1)wish,desire ; 2) appetite. For example:
"de buena gana"=willingly
"no me la gana"= I don't feel like it
"tener ganas de"= feel like
Hope that helps.
Have a great day!

"gonas" means nothing in spanish... probably u mean "ganas" and this word is the noun that comes from the verb "ganar" which means in english "to win" in case u are talking about a competition for example.
frases using "ganas" could be:
si ganas te dare un premio = if you win i´ll give u a prize.
siempre ganas! = you always win!
no tengo ganas de trabajar = i don´t feel like working today (ganas can also mean like "want" in this frase)
i hope this helps :)
