..prove that "he" was created by man.
At the time of the Bible, and still in many countries around the world today, Men are considered superior.
Now there's little debate that physically men are "superior" in the sense of strength etc (generally speaking) - however in life and the perpetuation of life it is in fact at least equal, if not edging towards the superiority of WOMEN, i.e. women bare the child and do most of the caring - in most species.. They are the most important, as Science is starting to show...with research on creating life without Men.
So, given that believers generally see God as a "he" - and "he" is referred to as "he" in the Bible - does this not reflect mans view that man is superior, when God is male - when in fact if there was a God surely it would be sexless..
Only a man would make God a man - and make man in "his" image...

theycallm...: I am not "over extrapolating", Im quoting the Bible and making reasoned assumptions based on simple logic.
If God was not sexist himself, he would have made that clear when his words were spoken to those who quoted him. "He" would have used the world "people" or something more general than "man".
"He" didnt, "he" makes countless statements based on "man" and "he" is referred to countless times..inferring the masculine..as I say only a sexist man would do this...

Cesar G: You talk rubbish - read back through what you've written. Monotheistic or not, the fact that God is ascribed a sexuality, and religious heads have always been male tells us all that we need to know. Whether Sikh,Jew,Muslim whatever, God is generally seen to be male. Like Jesus, funny he was a man, no? Why not a man and a woman?
It's all about "mans" superiority...

- You have to understand God's intentions for the family structure in order to understand why He is refered to as a he.
- God's true form is in Spirit, therefore, physically speaking as it relates form He has none. (keeping in mind He can take any form He pleases)
- God beyond being the Creator is the Provider, Protector, & Proprietor of us all.
- God has given us glempses of His way in how He organized the family structure.

You're overextrapolating from the presented data. If we assume that "the bible" was communicated from God to, say, whoever, but that God was speaking in "the language of the heavens" then perhaps such things as gender have no meaning. Therefore, the translation of the pronoun would be more along the lines of "it" but since it's attributed to a person, a gender is placed into the language in order to make it not sound like God is unintelligent. Now, if you go with the "man was made in God's image" idea, then that sugguests that human beings are not whole, and that a man and a woman have to fuse in order to become as God, which unfortunately is an extrapolation that sugguests homosexuality IS kind of bad in the eyes of God. Oops! Personally, I don't buy any of it, but it's an interesting theory.

certain, the Bible replaced into written with techniques from adult males. a lot of it describes what they believed to be actual about God yet had no evidence. Then there are parts of the Bible that are actual, which include the Exodus from Egypt, the ten Commandments, the construction of the temple in Jerusalem, the existence and teachings of Jesus, the history of the Jews, and the Roman career of Jerusalem. nonetheless, it replaced into written with techniques from human beings, who compared to God, are falliable, and so that is full of innaccuracies. although, this does not advise that there's no God. there's a God, yet we shouldn't take the Bible as His (Her?) literal note.

God is a spirit, he does not have a gender,
we refer to him as He (maybe) because we have been used to calling him as our Father....
the arrangement of male doing most of the work in a congregation does not necessarily mean superiority. Female members respect that God made the arrangement to have the workload done by the males. (I will look for the verse first.) Women on the other hand do their share as you mentioned in taking care of the home and so, but it is still the primary duty of the male to raise up the children in line with God's teaching.

God made manKIND in his image. The creator can only create what he knows. He created both man and WOMAN. THerefore, GOd is all male and all female, and neither male or female.
If you have taken any English classes you know that HE is used as a pro-noun of last resort. WHen referring to someone you do not know the sex of . You SILLY MAN!
YOu must look at God in the Supernatural and not the limits of the natural world.

Perhaps (like the Bible says), "God created man in his own image" and it wasn't only the physical attributes, but it also included the values and priorities that God, himself, possessed. For example, I doubt God had to tell Adam and/or Eve "I created you for fellowship" to program their brains. They (and we) WERE created to fellowship with and worship Him, so that's what they WANTED to do... and did...
Perhaps God (not being specifically described as "male" only as “him”) created mankind with the idea that the man should be head of the household (like it's biblically stated). People think of the way women in the bible were treated as discriminatory (and yes, they DID take it too far) but they were only taking into account the way the Lord intended them to act when He first created them.
If God had inspired the many writers of the various books of the Bible to refer to "Him" as "It"..... It would make it near-impossible for humankind to relate to "It". The Word of God was written in such a way so that the people of that specific era would be able to understand. For instance In Revelation 6:12-17 (KJV) is as follows:
"12. And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13. And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16. And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17. For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
For someone who had never seen a light bulb, a factory, an airplane, or a cardboard box... but only stone buildings and leather sandals and robes, I can imagine it would be very difficult to picture a mushroom cloud in their minds or a meteor shower or even people running into underground bunkers to ride out the nuclear winter.

in short NO..
Though the vast majority of monotheists consider the One God to be a spirit, thus having no gender, God the Father is predominantly ascribed masculine gender roles. He is thought of as dominant (not submissive), powerful (not weak), fatherly (not motherly), dispassionate (not emotional), whose ways are too high for his children to understand. God is generally referred to by the masculine pronoun He.
Monotheists hold a belief in one God as a fundamental religious principle.
In Sikhism, Judaism and Islam, God is believed to be sexless (or gender neutral), but has been traditionally referred to using male grammatical gender pronouns.
In Christianity, God is generally believed to be a Trinity, consisting of three persons in one God. The three persons of the Trinity are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God the Father has traditionally been described with male imagery, and God the Son is believed literally to have become incarnate as a human male. God the Holy Spirit has been referred to using male, female or neutral grammatical gender depending on the language (the Hebrew word רוח ruaḥ is grammatically feminine, the Greek word πνευμα pneuma is grammatically neuter, and the Latin word spiritus is grammatically masculine). But Christianity does not regard the omnipotent God as being male, God the Father is genderless, and is only given the name, "Father" because Jesus wanted to emphasis the special relationship that his followers share with God through him. In reality only one out of the holy trinity is masculine, Jesus Christ who was born male, although his actual incarnation was to stress his "humanity" and not that he was male.
In Hinduism, the form of God is varied, and can take a wide range of gender roles. Many who follow Advaita believe ultimately in an impersonal spirit, Brahman.
Polytheistic and henotheistic religions, including pagan religions and various ethnic religions, believe the spiritual world is encompassed by multiple gods, though they may be one spirit or be born from one parent god.

Yes, the Bible was written by men. The One Creator would in fact be sexless, or both, or woman as women are 'creators' in life, so to speak. But I would agree that God is sexless, yes.

Yet another good question, giving voice to why I am Wiccan. We believe in a Goddess AND a God, a balance between masculine and feminine. One sex is not supposed to be dominant over the other - we're supposed to help each other.
Bright blessings!
