Yes, software vendors do sell volume OEM packages for that reason.

It would be really hard for us to give you a definate answer. There are a lot of things to consider. You're easiest bet is to contact the software manufacture and ask them if they have procedues in place to ensure you have an authentic copy of the applicaiton.

If the activation went without a hitch, I'd say it's legit.
