We just bought this:

I am wondering, what is the best way to take product photos with this camera?
We have all the old Minolta lenses that go with it too, I think I won't need them for product shots though.

Thank you! :)

Put the product on an attractive stand. Or at least make sure there are no distractions in the picture. Only the product should be in the picture. Use a cloth of a color that contrasts so the product stands out more. Don't put a white product in front of a white background. Put lights on both sides to minimize shadows. To have more of the product in focus, use a small aperture for greater depth of field. Frame the shot and take the picture. The wonderful thing about digital cameras is that if the picture is no good you can take another after changing the lighting or what ever.

You should plan on doing some editing of the picture. You can crop the picture to make it the right size for the product. Maybe enhance the colors or contrast, etc. Also change the pixels so the image isn't huge when up upload it if you are going to do that.
