I want to really commend you for being concerned about he quality of your kitty's life. That's great.
I have two suggestions. First, can you get a second cat as a companion for her? I have always (20+) years had more than one, so they have company. Sometimes they fight, but just having another cat there I think makes a big difference.
If you really need to find her another home, there are a few ways: contact local shelters to ask about their policies regarding adoption/euthanasia. You are likely to find one that will commit to finding her a home. Also - and just as good - speak to your vet. Many vets will mention animals needing homes to other clients. Talk especially to the staff - vet techs and receptionists. Take in a picture of your cat and info, for them to post on the wall. They will.
You can also place a newspaper add, although I'm not sure how effective that really is, for cat adoption.
Best of luck. You sound like you love her. :(

Actually, cats prefer being left alone. If you just can't bear to part with her, get another cat so she has someone to talk to when you're not home.
If all else fails, take her to a 'no-kill' shelter, if there is one in your town, a vet that you trust or give her away to a home that is looking for a cat to adopt but may not be able to afford one from a shelter or pet store. Put an ad in the local paper, online or a want ad paper and let people know you have a free cat that you want to have adopted out.

You're right; it is terrible. Why did you even adopt her in the first place? Now she's gonna have to go through that whole ordeal again of getting used to a new place and a new owner. Hopefully, you can find someone who will really want her and love her. Anyway, see if a friend or family member will take her. If not, take her to your local shelter.

call the animal shelter and they can send over someone to get her, next time please.think long and hard uf you really want, and take time to love cherish and treat the animal as you would treat a loved family member.now the cat is gonna be wondering ;what she has did to have to go back to lock-down....at least your trying to find a new home to adopt your kitty;some people just drop cat;s and kittens in a allay or street somewhere.not caring if the animals got killed or not.....i always say a pet is a pet for life,,,,,,,and now my son has the same values about cats and dogs

You can post an add in the newspaper to see who wants the cat. Or you can go to waltmart, or other stores that can let you post an add in the outside of the door to see if someone might call you back. you can also take it to a shelter but some places charge you around 60 -80 dollars, so your best deal is to place an add in the stores.

There are places out there that will take her in, you will just need to look and find a good one. You didn't say where you got her, they may take her back. Have you thought about maybe getting her a friend and that way she will not be alone while you are gone? Just a thought if you wanted to keep her.

Run an ad in your local newspaper. I was in your same situation once and I had to get rid of a dog. I met the people that were going to take her and I still get letters and pictures from them. I was very happy with my decision. Good luck!

Call your local animal control, or just ask around at work or in the neighboorhood if there's anyone who may want a kitty, if theres a salvation army or thrift store or any store you can put up a sign explaining your situation.

if you can't really take care of a pet, what's the point in keeping them...post an advertisement for adoption in the internet...cats need care, and obviously, you just can't give enough given your situation...
