Kraft Singles are awesome!! You will need at least 3 slices to make a good grilled cheese... but you can use as many as you'd like. If it were me, I'd use 3 or 4, depending on the bread...

Kraft Singles are not cheese!! Kraft can't even legally call it cheese! Kraft Singles aren't real cheese, they're a processed cheese food, like Velveeta. I would pick real american cheese over Kraft Singles, but with the abundance of processed foods nowadays, I don't think Kraft Singles are something to fear. "Kraft Singles are a pasteurized cheese food product manufactured and sold by Kraft Foods Inc. One of the more famous ad campaigns involved the claim that each slice contained "5 ounces of milk". The campaign was lambasted for its implications that each slice contained the same amount of calcium as a five ounce glass of milk, which eventually led to a ruling in 1992 that ordered Kraft to stop making unsubstantiated claims in its advertising."

They're very good! And for a grilled cheese you need two slices. One whole, and the other one torn into strips or pieces to cover every bit of the bread. It'll come out so nice and gooey.

Don't like them personally but can stand them on a grilled cheese sandwich with 2 slices and mustard.
