OK, I thought IL had a vet med program but I'm coming up blank- doesn't mean I didn't just miss it though; Purdue Univ across the line in West Lafayette, IN has a good program. And, yes, you must do pre-vet or an appropriate undergraduate program of study first. That you can do at a lot of Universities.

Ok- here you go- in IL, your vet school is at UI-Urbana-Champagne... Vet school is expensive and most states that have a program offer residents of their own state a lower rate- or that was the case back when I was applying. You're ahead if you stay in IL- unless there's a specific reason for going out of state- like an aquamarine program or some other specialty. Good Luck!

Well first you should do pre-vet; a lot of colleges offer that. Then apply to a vet college. You might not be able to find one in your area because there are only like 27 or 28 Veterinary Colleges in the United States.

Do you live by DeVry University or Olympia College? They have programs for veterinary medicine.
