ie, if someone has a different belief, and tells you why, does that mean they are lying about your beliefs?
Thanks.

Well, when people insist that Wiccans worship Satan, yes, they are spreading lies about my beliefs. If they just say, "That's great, I believe in X because of Y", then no, they're just expressing their beliefs.

I think I answered your question?

Bright blessings.

I think we have to make a distinction between beliefs and truth. Beleif can change as you grow older, learn, and/or are exposed to the world. However, truth is absolute and doesn't change whether I believe it or not. I don't have to "believe" that the sun is going to come up tomorrow, it just will. I don't have to "believe" that George Bush is president, he just is. People are free to believe whatever they want and give an explanation of why they believe it. But if it is not grounded in truth than their beleifs really don't mean anything. If the truth is absolute (and by definition it is) than any other explanation or belief is false by default.

The fact that someone believes something different than you doesn't mean that they are lieing about your religion. Obviously something has happened in their lives to make them believe as they do, just as something makes you believe as you do. Many people simply follow their parents beliefs without doing any research on their own. If someone tells you why they believe as they do, you should be able to also explain why you believe what you believe.

What that is, is they don't seem knowledgeable contained in the distinction in evolution and the idea of evolution i have come to make certain. I didnt have self belief in evolution, till I took college training and placed out the diffrence. Evolution is a replace in an organism with the help of the years. human beings are an celebration of that. seem at our colorations and shapes and charactaristics. the idea of evolution is each thing evolving from one organism. there is completely activities from the bible which have evidence of having exceeded off. the theory is the religion section. Scientists believed that there change right into a nucleus and atoms before they spoke of and placed them. i visit assert a lot of human beings have self belief blindly and declare to be christians, yet aren't to any extent further. there are such a range of of factors i might want to get into, yet how and what you've faith is what you should manage. a lot of human beings, which incorporates myself are/were misinformed. purely because you dont agree, doesnt supply you the right to make others out to be ignorant. i imagine otherchristians opt to step decrease back and have a seem outdoors the field and seem at why/what they have self belief and why they think of their one faith is sweet and genuine and couldnt have something incorrect with it ever. no longer all christians are on the same element.

Well, that's a relativity issue.

Yes and no.

Islamics, for example, say things that their relgion says are true and factual but Christains in their religion would call blasphemous lies.

As for who's right and who's wrong, I based my views on a majority of the world making pedophillia a serious crime. I guess if you think pedophillia is cool then you have nothing to worry about ethically.

I call it "considering the source."

It all depends on which bubble of delusion you happen to be in. There's a very good video about this phenomenon on the god is imaginary website. It's short but shows how each religion exists within it's own bubble of delusion. Everything inside the bubble is known to be true and anything outside the bubble is known to be false... the problem is, the people in each bubble think the same way about very different things.

They don't think they are lying but I'm sure you would if they disagree with your beliefs. It is unending when you discuss religion.

look up the definition of a "lie". I think they are just explaining that they have a different belief, or opinion. if they don't know the truth how can they lie?

All the time, the people that dislike Catholicism don't understand 90% it, and ironically, most of it is just like other Christian Religions.

just because one disagrees with another doesn't mean they are telling deliberate lies but they may be mistaken or uninformed. there are many here who say derogatorily remarks about some topic they have no real knowledge about.
