I really think alot would depend on the circumstances.
I mean if the woman has just seperated from the father of her unborn child, emotionally she is going to be all over the place.
There is the real possibility of her turning to a guy who may only be offering support/sympathy to her, & then they suddenly find themselves trapped in a relationship!
Once that starts, could you then leave a lady in that position? I mean if you were her rock, & then suddenly you bail out in the latter stages of the pregnancy, what would be the lady's state of mind? Scrambled would be the best way of putting it!
But on the other hand I think if you had had a friendship with the woman, had known her for a while & felt a connection there, then yes, why wouldn't you. The reason though would have to be right,
not out of sympathy for her predicament.

Some would. You never know. It depends on the circumstances. However, it is likely to cause problems in the future.
Let's say for example a woman's husband died in an accident. His friend might care for the woman and think he would like to look after her, and lover her. My daughter has a friend whose husband was killed leaving her with a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old. Now she has married her husband's friend and is expecting twins. This is a true story.
As long as everyone is able to talk about how they truly feel in these difficult circumstances, there is always a good chance things will work out.

I think it depends on the lady...if we had know each other for a while and were interested in one another but the other man was the only thing standing in the way of our relationship then maybe.
Good luck!

Depends on the circumstances, the man, the woman. Too many variables to answer simply. Many men would be a bit scared off, though.

If I was single, in love with her and believed she loved me back? In a heart beat! Of course with something like that, the guy will always have the nagging question did she marry me so we could be together or did she marry me to be a Father to her child?

If we were in the wild the man would kill the other man's child then make his own with the woman.
I would not hook up with a woman that has another man's child. I'm here to spread my genes not his.
