yes. Drinking too much water can lead to a condition known as water intoxication and to a related problem resulting from the dilution of sodium in the body, hyponatremia.

It depends. If you drink that much water in a very short amount of time, there is a condition called water intoxication. But, if you spread it out throughout the day, your body will expel the excess water it does not need. If it is done this way, there is no health problems.

It has more to do with your activity levels and weight than just a standard of "Drink 8 glasses of water a day"
Drinking 16 glasses of water would probably feel like a burden to most people, but your body should errrr expel of the extra fluids accordingly.
I think it's possible to have too much. But I'm thinking that'd be super extreme.
When I was on weightwatchers, the message boards were always saying that however much half of your weight is, that is how many ounces of water you should drink per day.

There been reported deaths on to much water consumption so I would say yes. You just have to drink the amount that your body needs. If you live an active lifestyle you will need more. If you are sedentary you will need less. It's silly to drink 16 glasses of water, that just means you'll pee very often.
How do you know if your well hydrated? If your urine is a very light yellow.

Not really, your body will eventually force it out, the only negative thing is if you drank too much water and had no where to urinate, the uncomfortableness of it all would be unbearable.
So, negative effects could occur if you attempted to hold it in for an excessive amount of time, but as long as you urinate when the going gets rough, you'll be 'ight'

YES....if you drink too much water you can upset your electrolyte balance. Your blood has a balance of minerals, salt is one of them. If your salt and potassium balance are upset you can have an abnormal heart beat, you can have swelling in your extremities, you can become light headed.
